The General Manager of RC Lens, Arnaud Pouille has applauded Austrian-Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso for opting to continue with the club ahead of the start of the 2023/24 football season.

RC Lens on Thursday announced that the right-back has signed a new contract and will stay at the club until 2027.

Speaking about the new deal, Arnaud Pouille noted that Kevin Danso has proven his loyalty to the club.

“Seeing Kevin extend, when he was courted by major European teams, testifies to his loyalty to Racing and his desire to be fully involved in the project he joined two years ago. His attachment to family values ​​fully corresponds to our DNA,” the General Manager of RC Lens said.

He continued, “This model of professionalism, rigorous and who always wants more, has forged a combative state of mind which commands respect in the locker room but also among observers. An Austrian international, he has established himself as a central defender of reference, a status which is reflected in his appointment to the typical Ligue 1 team at the UNFP Trophies.”

According to Arnaud Pouille, RC Lens are delighted that Danso wants to continue his career at the club.

“Together with his brilliant progress, he has become a strong man in the locker room of which he is now a part. His good humor and exemplarity will still be undeniable vectors for performing in the coming season. We are therefore necessarily delighted to see him initial until 2027 with the club,” Arnaud Pouille said as quoted on the website of RC Lens.
