The PRO for Black Galaxies William Bossman has stated that the defeat suffered against Niger is disappointing.

Niger kicked out a very poor Ghana side in the quarterfinal encounter which was held in Oran.

Against Niger, Konadu Yiadom turned the ball into his own net in the first half and Soumana Hainikoye scored a wonderful goal to make it two.

Otu found the net for Ghana but it was ruled out for an earlier foul.

Ghana coach Annor Walker made five changes in the second half with the introduction of Gladson Awako, Sheriff Mohammed, Kwame Otu, Augustine Boakye, and Benjamin but their inclusion couldn't earn the Galaxies a win.

"We couldn't progress we lost to Niger what we are doing now is to prepare and return to Ghana. We will leave Oran get to Algiers and transit to Turkey before arriving in Ghana," he said.

"Yes things didn't go well for us. The technical team selecting the team they selected the best players in the Ghana Premier League. So when we were going when knew that we had selected the best players and they went out there to represent Ghana,"
