The head coach of the Black Queens of Ghana, Coach Nora Hauptle has indicated that her players are ready for the game against Rwanda on Wednesday, September 20.

The Ghana women’s senior national team will kick off the 2024 African Women's Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers with a game against Rwanda in Kigali tomorrow.

Speaking to the media team of the GFA ahead of the game, Coach Nora Hauptle said her Black Queens are confident of a win.

“We (technical team) were bringing the focus on the tactical operatives and getting use to the Astro turf. We always play on the natural grass but we like it because we are a possession team and we like to dominate the game always.

“For tomorrow we need to be smart in our decision making on the pitch with the new regulations. We are only allowed to bring 18 players with three substitutes. So it’s about who is ready and in the championship rhythm.

“Those criteria are quite important to bring the squad on the pitch so we have some important substitutes on the bench so they can bring. We are pretty convinced that we going to win the game tomorrow with the good mood and focus in camp,” Coach Nora Hauptle said.

The game between Rwanda and Ghana is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
