Heart of Lions head coach, Abdul Fatawu Salifu has expressed his sataifcation for the management decision to play their home games at the Hohoe Sports Stadium.

The Premier League returnees were playong their home games at the Red Bull Arena at Sogakope but have been forced to move out due to the Akosombo dam spillage.

Following the decision of the club to play their games at the newly built 10,000 seater stadium, Abdul Fatawu Salifu affirmed his belief that the players are ready to acclimatize to the AstroTurf.

"With me, I think it is fine, the decision to play at the WAFA Park was due to the Hohoe Sports Stadium not ready to host us," he told Citi Sports.

"I think there were some things that were supposed to be put in place, that is how come the team decided to move to the Sogakope Park.

"Hohoe is deeply in Volta Region and close to Kpando and now that we are going back, I think it is best for the people of Volta Region and the club as a whole.

"Though it is the first time playing there, I don’t think it is a worry, because we train on astroturf , and now that our home turf is an astroturf, i think it is a good decision for the club," he added.

Heart of Lions remain the only side in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League to draw all five games and will come up against Karela United in the matchday seven games.
