Technical Director of Asante Kotoko, Kwesi Appiah says they are interested in seeing the players and the playing body improving.
The Porcupine Warriors have recruited over 10 new players ahead of the start of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Having struggled last season under Seydou Zerbo and Abdul Gazalie, the leadership of the club have reappointed Prosper Narteh Ogum as the new head coach.
Speaking ahead of the start of the season, Appiah says they will not force the playing body to win every game but they are more interested in seeing the team improving.
"We don't want to force the players to win every game but what we are more interested in is to see the players and the playing body improving good football," he told the club's YouTube channel.
"The fans should also play their part because they are also important," he added.
Asante Kotoko will host Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium with kick-off scheduled at 18:00GMT on Sunday.
