We are not resourced enough to execute an African campaign – Dreams FC General Manager Ameenu Shadow

Ameenu Shadow, the General Manager of Dreams FC says his outfit is not financially equipped to execute an African campaign.

The Still Believe lads secured the CAF Confederations Cup slot after emerging as winners in the FA Cup competitions.

Karim Zito’s outfit inflicted a 2-0 win over King Faisal at the Dr Kwame Sports Complex last Sunday to clinch their first FA Cup title in the country.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa, Shadow, who doubles as the Team Manager of the Black Stars asserted his side are not financially sound to represent Ghana in the Confedeartions Cup competitions.

“In terms of the funding required for the African campaign, as I speak to you today per the books and the budget I did for the season, I never planned for an African campaign so clearly on the face value we are not ready in terms of funding”

‘Considering the financial profile of Dreams FC, we are not resourced enough to execute an African campaign”

“The shareholders of the club will meet by end of this week to determine whether they will provide the funds required for the African campaign.” He said.
