Rochdale Football Club's head coach, Jimmy McNulty, has expressed his elation over securing the services of Kwaku Oduroh on loan.

Oduroh is a Manchester City Academy product, having joined at the Under-9 level.

He won the Under-18 Premier League and Premier League 2 with the European Champions.

Oduroh departed the club last summer and signed a two-year contract with Derby County.

Last season, the 20-year-old made six appearances for The Rams' First squad and was a regular for their Under-21 squad.

“We’re very happy to secure Kwaku’s services for the coming season," McNulty said.

“He’s a high energy, durable full-back with good pedigree, having been developed in Manchester City’s Academy. He’s tactically flexible with good game intelligence,"

“Culturally, in terms of his character and professionalism, Kwaku fits the profile we’re looking for,"

“He will give us more depth and competition in the full-back position, but he also offers us versatility with capabilities of playing in a few positions if required, which will be valuable to us during the season.”
