We can do better things if fans rally behind us – Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has rallied for support from the fans as he aim to turn things around for the club in the ongoing campaign.

The Ivorian tactician has led the Phobians to two straight wins in the Ghana Premier League after taking charge of the club.

Despite falling behind early, the team showed great resilience and determination to secure a 2-1 win against Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Koramansah Park in the week 19 fixture on Sunday.

The home team took advantage of this and scored the opening goal through Walid Neymah Fuseini in the 23rd minute.

However, Ouattara's halftime tactics proved effective as Hearts of Oak came out stronger in the second half.

Salifu Ibrahim's deflected effort beat the goalkeeper to level the scores, and eight minutes later, Ivorian forward Cisse Kassim scored a fine goal following a brilliant build-up play.

“I thank the fans and I urge them to come out and support the team always. The team is for the supporters and not for the board members or anybody. If they support us I think we can do better things. We need the support of all the fans” he said.

Hearts of Oak moved up to seventh place in the standings with 27 points.

The Phobians will lock horns with Bofoakwa Tano in the week 20 fixture this weekend.
