‘We did it together’ – Simon Adingra applauds Ivorian teammates after winning 2023 AFCON

Right to Dream Academy graduate, Simon Adingra has commended his Ivorian teammates for their performance to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Brighton & Hove Albion forward played a key part for the Elephants throughout the tournament on home soil.

On Sunday night, Simon Adingra started in the finals against Nigeria.

The talented attacker provided two assists for Ivory Coast to come from behind to secure a 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

Speaking after the win to lift the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Simon Adingra said all the Ivorian players deserve for praise for fighting to make the country proud.

"We did it together, we're Africa champions and it's incredible. I've just experienced one of the most beautiful moments of my life, and that's down to the effort of everyone in the team," Simon Adingra said as quoted on CAFOnline.

Simon Adingra is expected to return to Brighton at an Africa Cup of Nations tournament at age 22.

His value is also expected to go up.
