Opare Addo, PRO for Accra Hearts of Oak says the club did not just appoint Bernard Gyebi as acting general manager but they did all the necessary background checks before taking the final decision.

Gyebi took up the role to lead the management of Hearts of Oak after leaving Medeama SC earlier this year. He worked as the Business Development Manager of the Tarkwa-based club and Special Assistant to Moses Armah Parker.

Until his arrival at the club, Gyebi, was based in the UK and the Founder of Linked Sports Business College, Linked Sports Foundation UK/GH, Linked Business Company Ltd UK and Ghana.

He had his basic education in Ghana and completed his Undergraduate programme at Buckinghamshire New University, a bachelor's in Sports Business, Sports Retailing and Merchandising, (UCFB Wembley), and is currently pursuing his master's research in Education studies at Suffolk University England.

“All the necessary backgrounds that we have to do the club took the steps to do all the due diligence apart from his previous work with Medeama, as part of his experience he has worked in the UK," he said on Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com

"He has worked with the FA, he has also worked with other clubs. He has also worked in the USA if you see the experience he has and the vision he has it matches with the club’s vision. We hope that all the things he wants to do and the club also wants to achieve he will help the club to achieve it. We will plead with our supporters that we should all support him so that we will achieve and be successful together,”
