Head coach of Ghana’s Black Satellites, Desmond Ofei has refuted claims that his team has a goal-scoring problem.

There are already concerns of the team’s ability to score after playing a goalless draw match with the Congo U20 national team on Friday in their Group A clash in the men’s football tournament of the 13th African Games.

Speaking to the press after the game, Coach Desmond Ofei said his team could not score because of hard luck.

“In the second half, we were dominant. I think we created more chances than the opponent and we should have been clinical with the chances we created. We had a bit of a tough luck today,” Coach Desmond Ofei said.

The Black Satellites coach continued, “I don’t think we have goal-scoring problems. We just have to put the ball into the net. The time of our runs should be better to avoid offside. For us, we will keep doing what we are doing and definitely, the goals will come.”

Ghana’s Black Satellites will now prepare to face off with Gambia on March 12.
