We have a lot of work to do next season – Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson

Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson says his outfit must improve on a lot of things before the start of the new season.

The Phobians endured a torrid 2022/23 season, where Medeama emerged as champions of the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians were neck-deep in the relegation battle on the final day of the season, however, the Ghanaian giants managed to survive relegation and stay in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Hearts of Oak played a pulsating goalless draw game against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday at the Golden City Park.

Prior to the game, the Phobians had suffered six defeats in their last seven games of the top-flight.

“We have a lot of work to do before the start of the new season. We didn’t finish in a position where we deserve, the fans are not happy but we have to work and make things better”

Frank Nelson expressed gratitude to God after sharing the spoils with Berekum Chelsea on final day.

“We will thank God for picking a point in Berekum which took us to another level on the table. We will learn our lessons” he said.

Hearts of Oak finished 12th place on the league standings at the end of the Ghana Premier League campaign.
