The reigning Ghanaian champions, Medeama, have unexpectedly found comfort in Egypt's arms amid the intense 2023–24 CAF Champions League.

Medeama's spokesman, Patrick Akoto, talked about the team's exceptional hospitality in the land of the Pharaohs.

Patrick Akoto added that the team had better hospitality than what they received in Guinea.

“Right from the airport to the whole we had a smooth sailing if you compare our arrival at the airport to our hotel if you compare this to what we got in Guinea there is a big difference," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"In Guinea, there were a lot of shenanigans but this one everything is perfect so far nothing bad has happened in terms of security, our hotel etc.

"For now there is nothing no complain to report to the Ghanaian people yesterday we went to look for a facility to train on 8pm which was 6pm Ghana time they weren't supposed to give it to us,"

The game will kick off at 7 pm at the Al Salam Stadium on Saturday.
