After Sunday's 1-0 loss to Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko assistant coach Orlando Wellington said that his squad misses Frank Etouga Mbella.

Before transferring to Egypt at the end of the season, Mbella played for the Ghanaian champions in 2021 and scored an incredible 21 league goals in one season.

In the ongoing Ghana Premier League, the Porcupine Warriors have had trouble scoring on a regular basis.

Head coach Seydou Zerbo has spoken about his team's inability to score goals this season. He added that they will continue to work on the problem.

During a post-match press conference, Coach Wellington said:

“Why not? We have missed him because he was the goal king in the team. We have missed him,” Wellington said.

Steven Mukwala leads the attack for the Porcupines Warriors in the Ghana Premier League. He has scored eight goals and is 5th on the goal king chart.

Kotoko will play King Faisal in the next Ghana Premier League game.
