Brighton and Hove Albion defender, Tariq Lamptey has praised head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, saying he has enjoyed playing under the Italian manager.

The former US Sassuolo gaffer was named as Graham Potter's successor after the English manager was named as Chelsea boss, replacing Thomas Tuchel.

However, De Zerbi has been able to steer Seagulls to European football next season in his debut campaign in the Premier League.

Lamptey, who was a key figure for the side until his injury against West Ham United says De Zerbi has transformed the side.

According to him, the team is playing entertaining and exciting football.

"I have worked under two great coaches (Graham Potter) and Roberto De Zerbi now and we have played attractive football we always try to be on the front foot and score a lot of goals and it is entertaining to watch, to be honest," he told Citi Breakfast Show.

"There are a lot of passes during training and whatever you see on the pitch is what we do at the training grounds," he added.

Tariq made a total of 23 appearances with a goal to his credit in all competitions. He will miss Ghana's game against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers next month due to an injury.
