We have to be fair to all the players- Coach C.K Akunnor

Asante Kotoko head coach Charles Akunnor says the technical team of the club has to be fair to the playing body.

The 44-year-old gaffer has been in charge of two matches in a duration of three days with different start lists since joining the club on a three-year deal.

When asked the rationale behind his approach in the post-match conference after beating Burkinabe side Save African Child, he stated, ‘’There is the need to see how the players perform and also have to be fair to them.”

The former Hearts of Oak trainer continued, “We decided to give a chance to those who couldn’t feature in the Black Stars game.”

The experienced coach claims despite a different set up for the two friendlies, “they did well with and without the ball” against the Burkinabe side.

Asante Kotoko played Black Stars of Ghana and African Child from Burkina Faso on Friday and Sunday in a friendly match respectively.
