We have to vote them out if they don’t perform – Hearts CEO insists after justifying payment of high allowances

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore has insisted that the leadership of the association should be voted out if they fail to perform on the back of the emoluments approved by Congress.

At the 26th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana FA last Tuesday, Congress gave approval for what has been described as huge monthly and sitting allowances for President Kurt Okraku and his Executive Council.

Having justified the huge sums of money, Frederick Moore who chaired the ad-hoc compensation committee that came up with the figures has stressed that the honors will lie on the members of Congress to vote out the GFA administration if they fail to perform.

“Any job that you do, any role that you play, you’re not paid based on your certificate or based on the fact that you are there, but for the role that you’re playing, and that role, for the salary you get, it has to come with accountability.

“We want the ExCo to work for us to get selflessness. If you’re going to work to get selflessness and I say I am not going to reward you [you must be ready to pay for it]; you can’t have it both ways”, Frederick Moore said in an interview as quoted on myjoyonline.com.

He continued, “We need an ExCo in Ghana, we need a football association in Ghana, that can take Ghana to the next level and if they are rewarded and they don’t take Ghana to the next level, then it is incumbent on the rest of us to vote them out”.
