We lacked passion against Niger - Otto Addo

Otto Addo expressed his disappointment after Ghana's 1-1 draw with Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group F match on Monday afternoon, attributing the performance to a lack of passion.

"I think the biggest thing is we show passion this was lacking in the game against Niger we have to bring this passion back and the field. Besides all the tactics and the quality we have to show the passion especially defensively and the intensity defensively to beat this team and if we show it everything is possible and we take points from there," said Addo.

His remarks came ahead of Ghana’s doubleheader against Sudan, coached by Kwesi Appiah, in the upcoming Group F qualifiers.

Ghana's campaign started poorly with a 1-0 loss to Angola in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Stadium, followed by the 1-1 draw with Niger in Berkane, Morocco. Ghana's goal came from Alidu Seidu, but Niger equalized through Oumar Sako.

Ghana will face Sudan in October, aiming for victory in both matches.
