Hearts of Oak striker Albert Eonde acknowledges the passion and support of the fans but admits to the immense pressure of meeting their high expectations.

In a candid statement, Eonde reflects on the challenges faced by players as they strive to live up to the demanding standards set by their devoted supporters.

Albert, who joined the Accra-based club in February this year, pleaded with the club's supporters to stay calm and asked them to stick with the squad as it strives to return to winning ways next season.

The Phobians ended the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season in 12 place with 46 points.

“We respect the fans for the energy and support. The fans are very demanding. We know they are demanding a lot from us and a performance that will make them happy. It is what we wish to do whenever we are on the pitch or get the chance,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.

“Is our job and our passion. We don’t go there to lose games or to perform badly but as we say it is football. I guess most of us are almost new to the team but I believe with time everything will be okay,"

“For the fans what that they need is the result but the players will need some time to know each other. It happens and we saw it all over the world. They said we have disappointed them but it is their own understanding. They can understand it that way and we won’t blame them for that. Our performance might not be good sometimes but they have to be with us so that we can give them the smile and what they deserve,” he ended.
