We want our league back not Special Competition- Salifu Shaibu Zida tells GFA Normalisation Committee

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bolga All Stars SC, Salifu Shaibu Zida has relinquished anger on Normalization Committee over- delaying in organising a league in Ghana.

The four-member committee, led by Dr.Kofi Amoah, got appointed as a Normalization Committee to run the day-to-day activities of the Ghana Football Association with the ultimate goal of organising an election for new executive members of the association.

However, the Committee has subdued to consider competition for Premier League clubs and the Nation's Second tier following their proposed format and modalities to club administrators a week ago. The aforementioned competition is slated to kick off on January, 26.

Meanwhile, football arbiter Salifu Zida believes the league is what they[Clubs] want not the Special Competition.

"Is that what Ghanaians want, definitely the response is No"! he told Footballghana.com in an exclusive interview.

"That's not the competition we want, football lovers are yelling for the return of our league" That's what at the moment we need, besides Ghana FA statues doesn't approve such competition."

Salifu, in addition, stated that the guarantee of a club going to Africa should he win the competition isn't made known. "What will be the end results of the Special Football League because a winner cannot represent Ghana in Caf Inter-club competition".

Football arbiters could not resort to the Normalization Committee Special Football league as they released a statement boycotting the competition due to the format and prize monies involved. The Upper East RFA Boss, in continuation opined on Ghana FA Normalization Committee budgeted amount for the competition.

"The monies involved for this try and error should be re-channelled to organise the league. We just need our league back not Special competition".

According to Ghana FA Normalization Committee, an amount of GH¢800,000 was given by Government for the competition which intends to move beyond their 6-months offered them by CAF and FIFA.
