New appointed King Faisal head coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu has reiterated they were hoping to beat Asante Kotoko.

The Insah Allah lads were hosted at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday in an outstanding game.

The game was originally scheduled to be played last month but was postponed due to Black Stars' 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium.

However, after 90 minutes of action, the game ended goalless.

But after the game, the young trainer said it was a difficult game but they were determined to win the game against their city rivals.

“It was a difficult game. Considering I had one session with the team. And we also went down by a man down," the former Medeama SC boss said after the game.

"So we had to defend and not concede. We wanted to win, trust me, we wanted to win. But it’s football," he added.

Osei-Fosu and his team will prepare for their MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash against Aduana Stars on Sunday, April 9th before hosting Dreams FC in the matchday 26 games at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
