We were beaten by a better side - Hearts of Oak assistant coach after defeat to Great Olympics

Assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Hamza Obeng says his side lost to a side following their 3-0 loss to rivals, Great Olympics on Sunday.

In the matchday 33 games, the Phobians were hosted at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

A brace from Yussif Razak and Amos Acheampong's goal saw the ‘Dade Boys’ pick up all three points.

The misery of the club were deepened following the defeat. The defeat means Hearts of Oak have failed to record a win in their last three games played.

Speaking after the game, Hamza Obeng admitted that Great Olympics were superior and better compared to his side adding that the two times Ghana Premier League champions deserve their win.

“My guys were down, a lot of errors but we played against a better side and they were supreme on the day," he told StarTimes.

"I will congratulate them and we’ll go back and correct our mistakes," he added.

The results means that Great Olympics have done the double over Hearts of Oak for the first time in 48 years.

The defeat leave Hearts of Oak at the 5th position with 48 points and will wrap up their campaign with a home game against Real Tamale United at the Accra Sports Stadium.
