Legon Cities gaffer, Bashir Hayford has credited his players for their determination after a win over Great Olympics.

The Royals grabbed the headlines after their impressive win over the two times Ghana Premier League champions in the matchday 19 games at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Two second-half goals by Nicholas Menssh and Jonah Attuquaye ensured that the quest of the Royals to beat the drop at the end of the season is on course.

“Fantastic victory for the team today. We showed hunger and determination to win," the veteran trainer said after the game.

"I am so happy for the boys. We need to keep up the momentum and grab few wins then hopefully climb up the table.

"Attention turns to the next game right away, ” Bashir Hayford told the press.

Legon Cities remain at 5th position with 22 points after 19 games and will travel to Medeama SC for the matchday 2 games this weekend.
