Hertha Berlin ace, Kevin Prince Boateng has said the entire team were off from their best against Mainz 05.

Hertha suffered a 2-1 defeat at home against Mainz in the Bundesliga over the weekend.

Silvan Widmer broke the deadlock on the 25th minute.

However, during the added time in the first half, Davie Selke scored to level the home side up but Stefan Bell scored to wrap up the win in the 81st minute for Mainz.

The results have left Hertha at the 15th position with 33 points.

Boateng reacting after the defeat said they are not at their best but were poor from the blast of the whistle.

"We were not in the game today from the first minute to the end," he said after the game.

"Not fresh in the head. A lot was missing," he added.

Hertha Berlin will be hosted by Borussia Dortmund in their final game of the season at the Signal Iduna Park.
