Bibiani Gold Stars locked horns with heavyweights Hearts of Oak, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 draw on match day seven.

Despite the deadlock, Bibiani Gold Stars' head coach, Michael Osei, remained resolute in his conviction that his team had outshone the opposition.

The first half ended with both teams heading to the dressing room with no goals.

After the break, Bibiani Gold Stars and Hearts of Oak pushed each other hard in search for a goal.

Gold Stars' backline was alert to stop Hearts of Oak from breaking the deadlock. Kashala Ramos pass to a teammate in the box was swiftly cut out.

Maccarthy Appiah scored in the 90+1 minute to give the home side the lead. However, their jubilation was cut short when Hamza Issah's strike a few seconds later saved the Phobians from defeat.

"I think the intensity of the game was very high both teams display very well in the game but at the end I think we were the better side in the game," he said.

"We scored a perfect free kick then later on we concede such a goal that as a technical I will not understand how the referee should allow this goal," he added.
