Ghana international Antoine Semenyo feels Bournemouth were unlucky in their stalemate against Aston Villa in the Premier League clash.

The Black Stars attacker in superb form for Bournemouth when they played out a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

The Black Stars attacker was handed a starting role and contributed significantly as his side shared the spoils.

"I think we play well as a team, we training hard together and I feel the manager's tactics after coming together now, I mean we are slowly building, going through this tough period and hopefully get some more wins. I mean we were unlucky with the draw today but it's a point. It is better than nothing," said Semenyo after the game.

Bournemouth have picked ten points in the last five games and Semenyo believes the team can only get better.

"We are gelling as a team; cohesion is great so we just need to keep building on this. We are in good form and hopefully pick some more points in this tough period," he added.

Semenyo broke the deadlock for the host after just ten minutes into the highly competitive clash after connecting from Ryan Christie pass but Jamaica international Leon Bailey scored to draw Aston Villa level ten minutes later.

England international Dominic Solanke scored to restore Bournemouth lead in the 52nd minute after he was set up by Milos Kerkez but a stoppage time strike from Ollie Watkins denied the host the three maximum points at stake.

The Ghana international was subbed off in the 71st minute and was replaced by Luis Sinisterra.

The former Bristol City attacker is enjoying an amazing season with the Premier League outfit, scoring four goals and providing an assist in 11 games.
