Referees Association of Ghana general secretary Alex Anning has stated that they will tell their members to work hard and also avoid making basic mistakes on the pitch.

Referees have been heavily criticized for making mistakes in crucial games this season. Some teams have filed complaints and according to Ghana Football Association spokesman Henry Asante Twum the FA has dealt with the referees who after further examination it was concluded that they made an error.

“What I will say about this matter is that as a professional activity that is football if it reach this point then it is a problem. But I am not sure that a referee will try to cheat someone yes there are mistakes," he said on Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

It will surprise you that the person will examine himself and wonder why you did that mistake. So in human activity some of these things it is not pleasant some of these things. Everybody has their own way of doing things but so far as they did not mention the names of referees no one knows how each and everyone prays,"

"What I will say is that we will leave it like that but we will caution our members and advice them that when you go open your eyes very well, your mind and soul to work so that you don’t fall into trouble. We will also beg our football…you see I don’t know if a footballer gets a ball and sees that this is the pole and you have to hit the ball so that it enters and the ball goes wide after the shot will you say that it is intentional so you will curse the person,”
