The owner of Elmina Sharks, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has expressed optimism in his team’s chances of beating Legon Cities FC and Asante Kotoko to escape relegation.

With just two matches for the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season to end, the team in the Central Region risk being demoted to the lower-tier league should they fail to pick maximum points.

Ahead of what will be a difficult game against Legon Cities this weekend, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom says he is confident Elmina Sharks can bag all three points.

According to him, once that is achieved, the team will be motivated to go on and beat Asante Kotoko on the final day of the Ghana Premier League season as well.

“I have this big belief that if we are able to score Legon Cities, we will travel to Kumasi to beat Asante Kotoko. I have that belief that in Obuasi, Elmina Sharks will defeat Asante Kotoko,” the Elmina Sharks owner told Ahomka FM in an interview.

The match between Elmina Sharks and Legon Cities FC will be played at the Nduom Stadium on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
