We will do our best to win the Ghana Premier League - Kotoko IMC member Emmanuel Dasoberi

Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, a member of the four-man Interim Management Committee of Asante Kotoko has said that his outfit will do their maximum best in order to clinch the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.

The Ghanaian giants has been in dismal form, picking just ten points from a possible 27 after nine games so far this season.

Kotoko occupy 14th position on the league standings. They have won 2, drawn 4 and lost 3 of those matches.

Despite the club’s unimpressive start to the season, Dasoberi, who is the administrative manager of the Porcupine Warriors has expressed optimism about his outfit chances in the Ghana Premier League.

“Our stand on rebuilding has not changed. The coach has been given a specific task to perform and we believe we are still on the path we’ve taken. It’s just a passing storm, it will go away. Of course coming in is not what we expect but in a rebuilding process you realize that all this thing are bound to come in it”

“Last year around this time, Medeama, the eventual league winners were 14th on the table just as we are and they still went ahead to win the league. Nothing is lost, Ogum is the coach and a coach of his caliber he should understand that there would be pressure, even though we are rebuilding he knows this is Asante Kotoko and nothing is expected apart from success. We just have to have trust; it’s not going to be easy but we will surely do our best to clinch the trophy”

Asante Kotoko are away to Samartex in the Ghana Premier league matchday 10 on Sunday.
