The head coach of Ghana’s Black Satellites, Desmond Ofei is upbeat ahead of the clash against Senegal on Tuesday night.

The Black Satellites will face off with the Young Teranga Lions later today in a semi-final encounter of the men’s football tournament at the 13th African Games.

Speaking to journalists at his pre-match press conference, Black Satellites coach Desmond Ofei said his players will need to improve on their performances in the previous matches to stand a chance of beating Senegal today.

“We have come a long way. We are building something special with this national team and that’s what are going to continue to do. Whatever comes we will be ready.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game on Tuesday. We are going to face a very tough opponent. Senegal is a very well-structured football nation. They are doing something impressive,” Coach Desmond Ofei said.

He continued, “There are no injuries for now. For us, we have to replicate and multiply what we did in the past to get here. We must be well-organised and improve. We must also stay focused for this game as well.”

The semi-final clash between Ghana and Senegal will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The game will kick off at 8:30 pm.
