We will not repeat mistakes from our first match when we play Cameroon – Kwadwo Asamoah

Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has stressed that the Black Stars will not repeat the mistakes they made in their 2-2 draw with Benin when they take on the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday evening.

Ghana is expected to lock horns with their Cameroonian counterpart later today as the two sides play their second Group F match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament currently ongoing in Egypt.

Whiles Cameroon won their opening match against Guinea Bissau, Ghana only had to settle for a two-all draw in their game against the Squirrels of Benin.

On the match day, lack of concentration and indiscipline on the part of some players cost the Black Stars dearly, leaving them to pay for it at the end of the 90 minutes.

Speaking in a pre-match conference ahead of the team’s next match against Cameroon, Inter Milan player Kwadwo Asamoah has disclosed that the team has learned from their mistakes in the first match and will not repeat them today.

“We didn't get a good result in the first game but I know Ghanaians are still supporting us”.

“We have picked a lot from the first game and we will not repeat those mistakes against Cameroon”, the versatile player noted.

He is expected to be in the starting lineup today after missing out on Ghana’s opening match of the tournament.

The cracking encounter comes off this evening at the Ismailia Stadium. Kickoff is at 17:00GMT.
