We will pay all outstanding payments to the players before CHAN tournament - Dr. Tony Aubynn

Black Galaxies management committee chairman Dr. Tony Aubynn has stated that all outstanding payments will be paid to the players before they travel to Algeria for the 2023 CHAN tournament.

The Black Galaxies played their first friendly game this week and are scheduled to take on Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak in a second friendly. The team is using these friendly games to prepare for the CHAN tournament and also give the coach an opportunity to trim the 40 man squad.

The Black Galaxies traveled to Austria for a one week training camp ahead of their Championship of African Nations (CHAN) final round qualifiers against Nigeria.

"I know that it has delayed but it is not the first time it delays but we still pay them. The assurance we have is that it will be paid before the Galaxies travel maybe for the training tour or going straight to Algiers. Before all these will happen all the outstanding payments will be paid," he told Happy FM as monitored by footballghana.com

Ghana has been assigned to Group C, which includes Morocco, Sudan, and Madagascar.

The 2022 CHAN was postponed until 2023 because of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and it is set to begin on January 13, 2023, in Algeria.
