Emmanuel Frimpong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ashanti Gold SC has indicated that the club will beat every club to the Ghana Premier League title when football resumes.

Football has been on suspension for the past 6 months as a result of a ban placed on contact sport by the government in a bid to curb the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Eyeing the return of football, Emmanuel Frimpong has expressed optimism in the chances of Ashanti Gold SC to enjoy title triumph.

“I wish we were going to play the league right now for people to see Ashgold play. We are going to take the league hands down. And going to Africa we are going to bring back victory”, the Miners Chief Executive Officer said in an interview with Asempa FM today.

Before the Ghana Premier League season was canceled earlier this year, the Obuasi-based club performed very well. At the point of the suspension of the campaign, the team occupied the 6th position with 25 points, just 3 points behind the team on the summit of the standings.
