Ghana President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has on a lighter note plotted the kidnap of coach Otto Addo after qualifying the Black Stars for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to the President, the German-based tactician has done a marvellous job with the national team and should forget about returning to Dortmund to work.
President Akufo-Addo said this in a phone call with Otto Addo on Tuesday night after the coach guided Ghana to draw 1-1 with Nigeria.
“Well done but when you come here we are going to kidnap you. We are not going to allow you to go back to Dortmund. So be very careful when you are entering. You might not be able to leave Ghana again,” President Akufo-Addo shared.
On a serious note, President Akufo-Addo extended his appreciation to the coach, insisting that qualification to the world cup is the best birthday gift for him.
“Thank you. I appreciate it. It is the best possible birthday present I could have had,” he added.
