We won’t disappoint our fans this season – Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey

Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey has pledged the commitment of the team to their best in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently 7th on the domestic top-flight table after shaking off a difficult start to the season. They continued their resurgence with a 3-2 win over sworn rivals Accra Hearts of Oak last Sunday.

Kotoko have now extended their Ghana Premier League winning streak to four games after triumphing over Hearts of Oak.

Speaking to the club’s media, Lamptey, who has been tipped to make the Black Stars squad for the upcoming AFCON has urged the fans of the Porcupine Warriors to believe in the team as they aim to make a meaningful impact.

“I will urge the fans to keep believing in us, we as players will never disappoint this season” he said.

Asante Kotoko are away to Great Olympics in the week 15 of the Ghana Premier League but fortunately for the Porcupines, the game will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium due to the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium.
