We won't sit down for any media house to tarnish the image of Asante Kotoko - David Serebour

Published on: 29 August 2020

Former Asante Kotoko management member David Serebour reacted to news about CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah fighting with the board of directors in a meeting and the CEO made to apologize.

He indicated that the reports circulating are false and misleading and will not allow the image of Asante Kotoko to be tarnished.

Speaking to local radio station OTEC FM the former management member said

“I was very privileged to have details of whatever transpired at the said meeting that day,”

“Nothing of that sort happened as speculated in the media. I know what I’m talking about. Nana Yaw Amponsah is doing a project at Adako Jachie (building temporary offices and Player’s washroom) and no media house has been talking about it," he added.

“They (some media houses) want to do negative stories to bring the brand Kotoko down, and that nonsense must stop this time,”

“Kotoko is a bigger brand in which we want to attract more sponsors with it so we won’t sit down for any nincompoop to wake up in the morning and just write stories to tarnish the image of the club,"

“I will take this issue to court for the guy to come and prove if I have the board’s permission,” he concluded.
