Hearts of Oak midfielder Glid Otanga says his outfit is ready to battle Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League opener.
The domestic top-flight will commence this weekend, with Hearts of Oak expected to take on Real Tamale United in an away fixture at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Having wrapped up their preseason with a deserving 2-0 win over Ghana Premier League newbies, Nations FC on Sunday at the Kpobiman Complex, the Congolese midfielder has expressed his sides readiness to compete RTU in the GPL opening game on Friday.
Otanga started the game before he was replaced in the second half by Nurudeen Aziz who eventually broke the deadlock for the Phobians.
“We are ready for the season. We’ve prepared for over a month and I think we are ready to challenge Real Tamale United in the season opener” he said.
The Phobians are seeking another Ghana Premier League title triumph in the new season after going drought in the previous campaign.
