West Brom Boss Says Chelsea's Fearful Attacking Trio Could Keep Him Up at Night

Tony Pulis has joked that he may need to take sleeping pills on Saturday night ahead of the visit of Premier League leaders Chelsea to his West Bromwich Albion side.

The Baggies host the Blues with the away side on a run of eight successive league victories - form which has catapulted Antonio Conte's men to the summit of England's top flight with 14 games played.

Chelsea's fearsome front three of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Pedro have been integral in the Londoners' frightening period of good form and, in quotes published by the Daily Mirror, Pulis quipped that he was in for a sleepless night on Saturday ahead of the clash at the Hawthorns on Sunday.

He said: I might take a sleeping tablet Saturday night and wake up and just hope it is all over!

They are three fantastic players and that is what the Premier League is all about. Hazard is close to the form when he was PFA player of the year and that year he was absolutely outstanding.

Pedro is playing well and come up to the plate this year and looks an outstanding player. Willian is not even starting and he was voted their player of the year last year.

They have some outstanding players and I have not even really discussed Costa."

Despite being concerned at receiving a severe thrashing from Conte's charges, Pulis insisted that his own players should focus on their own gameplan and look to enjoy encounters such as Sunday's as much as they can.

He continued: The most important thing is my players realise they have a chance because that is sometimes a problem at the bigger clubs.

I always enjoy going there and to the big grounds. I have taken a pasting at times but it is a childhood dream to go to these famous football clubs.

I will tell the players everything is against us, you have a look at the size of their squad, the quality, size of the ground and attendances. It is all in their favour and we have nothing to lose but to go out there and work really hard and enjoy it.

West Brom currently sit in seventh position in the league standings after picking up 10 points from their last four matches, and Pulis added that such a good run of form was putting the Baggies on the map across the UK and Europe.

He added: In the West Midlands we are the only team producing and showing Premier League football and we are doing well. It is great times at this football club.
