Ferguson is considered as one of the most promising young players in the current West Bromwich Albion youth team and having been promoted to the first team training recently, manager Alan Pardew has revealed that he is offering the 17-year-old a professional contract.

Pardew said: "When I spoke to the staff, and asked who was outstanding or the best player not signed as a professional, his name was on everyone's lips. I had a quick look, it only took me two and half minutes, and hopefully we will have that sealed this afternoon."
