West Brom News: Pulis insists \'we just need a win\'; Chambers praise after leg break

West Brom boss Tony Pulis is adamant everything will change once they win again.

The Baggies are battling through a winless run, leaving them close to the dropzone.

“You want it to finish and end," said Pulis. “But we've taken the club further and further over the last three seasons. You get these periods, ups and downs. Everybody outside the top six will have good and bad runs.

“We just need a result to get out of it and give us the confidence. From then on we'll be fine."

For defeat to Manchester City, Pulis was happy to call on Gareth McAuley.

“I thought Gareth was fantastic," said the head coach. “He went in for a tackle down the bottom end and he got up and was gasping for air.

“I brought him off because I didn't want anything to happen to him!"

Meanwhile, West Brom coach James Shan has praised James Chambers for the way he's handled his broken leg injury.

The 17-year-old suffered the injury on Saturday.

Shan said: "I've spoken to Jack regularly.

"I know he's had his operation and that seems to have been a success, but we're obviously gutted for the lad.

“He's a real professional in terms of everything he does and he's stepped up to the U23s a lot this season and done really well for us.

“Jack was the first on the WhatsApp group to wish the team good luck, which tells you a lot about his character.

"We hope he has a speedy recovery and he'll get all the support he needs from the staff here."
