West Brom winger Phillips insists they have what it takes

West Bromwich Albion are currently in 19th place with only 15 points in the Premier League.

However, Matt Phillips believes the spirited 0-0 draw against Everton shows the club has what it takes to climb the table in the second half of the season.

West Brom put in a good shift against Everton, and held Sam Allardyce's men to a point at the Hawthorns.

While the side will need wins and more goals if they are to stay up, Phillips says it is a good start.

"I think you can see from the performance that we were really good and we created a lot of chances," said Phillips.

"Sooner or later we're going to score one, two or three and win the game.

"In recent weeks we have lifted our performances and we have to take the positives - this is another point.

"Everton are on a good run and we've put a halt to that.

"We've shown that we're more than capable of getting ourselves out of the situation that we're in."
