Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he thought his agent was referring to Espanyol when he mentioned Barcelona's interest.

The former AC Milan star completed a shock transfer to the Spanish giants in January 2019 on a loan deal.
In his interview with DAZN, he recalled the incident.
"[My agent asked]'Do you like Barcelona?' and I, thinking of Espanyol, replied: 'Yes, Diego Lopez is there too' and he replies: 'No, I'm talking about the real Barcelona '. And I: 'Are you kidding?' ”.

Boateng has featured for a number of clubs in Europe including Schalke, Tottenham and others.
He now plays for Italian second tier side AC Monza.
