Why Bristol Rovers should sign free agent Kwesi Appiah

Kwesi Appiah was recently let go by AFC Wimbledon. He is now a free agent and still available to play football and Bristol Rovers should take a chance on him.

Appiah provides experience. The 29 year old has played a lost of games at the third tier level of English football, spending the last three years at Wimbledon.

He is also at his prime at the moment and offers a lot of pace to any team that would want to snap him up. Rovers are lacking in the attacking department and Appiah will be a suitable option with little cost to have. Also, Ben Garner, the current coach of Wimbledon has a history with the player and knows him well from his days at Crystal Palace.

The Ghanaian made 10 appearances for Crystal Palace after signing for them in 2012 but has been a journeyman since then, featuring for the likes of Aldershot Town, Yeovil Town, Notts County, Reading and Viking on loan.

In his 176 games played so far in his career, Appiah has found the net 48 times, adding 19 assists to his name.
