Marie-Claire Rupio Atsu, the wife of Christian Atsu has opened up on the last time he spoke to her husband before the tragic earthquake hit Turkey.
According to her, she was in touch with the Black Stars winger on Saturday morning before the devastating earthquake on Monday morning.
Speaking to BBC News, a sad and worried Marie-Claire Rupio Atsu said she is keeping hope alive and hopes to hear good news soon.
“The last time he spoke to us was on Saturday morning, It’s just surprising for his club to confirm he’s found and after 11 hours we hear something different, but I trust and still believe he’s alive,” the wife of Christian Atsu said.
Christian Atsu’s whereabouts have been unknown since last Monday when the tragic earthquake happened in Turkey.
There has been a search and rescue operation since the incident happened but unfortunately, no concrete news on Christian Atsu.
His family, friends, teammates, and Ghanaians are praying for him to be rescued alive.
