The owner of Division One side Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has revealed that he bought the club because he wanted to provide a platform for undervalued talents.

The former GFA Presidential aspirant bought the club in 2005 and has managed it from then. He has produced some magnificent talents including K.R.C Genk midfielder Joseph Paintsil.

In his recent interview, he added that he was interested in providing employment for the youth.

"My aim was to provide a platform for undervalued talents. I wasn’t looking at what I would get out of it, but I was interested in providing employment for the youth and I am glad we have done that and we continue to," he told Joy Sports.

He was also asked of how much money he provided to buy the club and he mentioned a figure of 800,000 cedis.

"We paid around 800,000 cedis now GH¢8,000 or so. By his grace, God has blessed us and we are thankful."
