While many professional clubs were still trying to get reinforcements into their team, SSV Jahn Regensburg has been able to get a player in to beef up their squad.

With the loan announced last Friday by Aaron Opoku, who joins SSV Jahn Regensburg from league rival Hamburger SV, the plans of the managing director of the second division soccer club SSV Jahn Regensburg is now complete.

The 21-year-old recently returned from a loan spell at Hansa Rostock, but his chances of getting into the Hamburg first team is not promising after suffering a couple of injuries.

Hamburg coach Daniel Thioune stated that Opoku will not get playing time at the club but a loan spell will help his development.

"Playing time is good for every young player," said coach Daniel Thioune.

"Aaron had less with us recently. It is in the room that Aaron could change, but does not have to change," he added.
