Winger Kelvin Ofori tests negative for Covid 19 despite contact with Ampomah

Ghana winger Kelvin Ofori has tested negative for Coronavirus despite being identified as one of the people close to Nana Ampomah who has tested positive for the disease.

Last Friday, Fortuna Dusseldorf announced that its attackers, Nana Opoku Ampomah and David Kownacki had tested positive for the Coronavirus disease.

After further checks and the intervention of health personnel, players who were in close contact with two players were directed to go into self-quarantine.

Days later, Nana Ampomah’s compatriot Kelvin Ofori who was identified as contact persons 1 was tested for the disease to check his status.

Today, a report from the club has revealed that Kelvin Ofori is Covid-19 negative. In line with the latest development, the teenager is expected to returning to training with his Fortuna Dusseldorf teammates this weekend.

Meanwhile, Nana Ampomah will stay under observation for a while and wait for another test to check his status.

Footballghana.com can however confirm that he is doing well and no longer with any of the Covid-19 symptoms.
