New Black Stars forward, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer has revealed that he could not visit Ghana when he was growing up as a kid in Germany.
The winger was born to Germany to Ghanaian parents.
Opening on his childhood, the Hamburg SV player says he followed football in Ghana when he was a young boy in school.
“I followed football there and gave a presentation about the country in 10th grade,” Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer disclosed in an interview as reported by Bild.
According to Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, he could not travel to Ghana with his father because anytime the opportunity came he was busy in school.
“But - whenever my father flew there, I couldn't. My father usually travels in autumn. Once a year for six weeks. I never had time because I had school or training,” the Ghana forward said.
The 22-year-old in the last few weeks has displayed fine form in the German Bundesliga 2 where he plays for Hamburg SV.
He is now focused on staying fit and in form to merit a place in the Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
