Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn has said that the Gunners must win a trophy if they wish to count this season as a success.
Following a slow start to the season which included a 4-0 demolition at the hands of Liverpool, the performances of the club have improved and they have risen to fifth position on the Premiership standings.
Whilst talking about what the club should aim to achieve this season, Winterburn stated: "When I played in the teams that I played in there, the goal was to win as many trophies in that season as possible,"
"Top four is an achievement but it's not success like winning a trophy. The top four gets you back into the Champions League which Arsenal want to do."Being a player at a big club, you are judged on what you win."
Winterburn is regarded as a Gunners club legend having amassed more than 440 appearances during his time at Highbury.
