Ghana President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident that the Black Stars will do well at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Otto Addo as the head coach of the team.

According to him, the gaffer with the help of his assistants and technical advisor Chris Hughton is capable of doing the job if they are not influenced externally.

"What is always a problem is Ministers, President and others influencing players on coaches, we don’t want it that way because we have confidence in the people you have chosen. I think we’ve got a very good technical team of Otto Addo, Chris Hughton, George Boateng and Didi Dramani.

“We’ve got a very good set of people to guide our players so we should leave them to work because they are the best combination for us and the rest of us will do our best to support,” President Akufo-Addo said.

The President disclosed these while engaging a delegation from the GFA led by Kurt Okraku on Thursday.

During the visit by the Ghana FA delegation, they presented new Black Stars jerseys to President Akufo-Addo.
